How we sort search results
So you have specified the skills and level of experience required. That’s great but how do we sort the results to ensure you get the most relevant talent first?
We use a scoring system involving several metrics. The most important ones which have the biggest weight are:
- Recent experience
- When you are looking for a Senior Backend Developer you are looking for someone who has at leat 8 years of experience in backend technologies but is currently using them. You are not looking for someone who has 10 years of experience in backend languages but hasn’t used these skills for several years now (Either because of progressing in his career or maybe simply pivoting)
- Level of experience.
- If you specified that you are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with React experience we will give a higher score to users that combine both skills giving more importance to the first one. What it means is you will get at the top of the results candidates that are senior in both Frontend Technologies and React.
- Likeliness of interest
- If someone has changed jobs 3 months ago they are definitely less likely to be interested in a new opportunity. While these candidates are not excluded they will have a lower score in the sorting algorithm.
