When comparing the format of the first professional CV (Leonardo Da Vinci’s resume from 1482) with one from today, the main noticeable difference is that one is on paper and the other is digital. Both are still: hard to read, hard to write, hard to maintain, inconsistent, in many different formats, and plain static.
